INDEPENDENCE DAY FOR THE TROOPS!
The Westland Jaycees are going to be at the Westland Shopping Center on June 14th from 10am to 7pm in East Court to encourage customers to sign thank you cards for the soldiers to let them know we are still thinking of them!
We will have blank memo cards and thank you cards for folks to sign, pictures for the kids to color and there will also be a few t-shirts that can be signed too!!!
A small American flag will be given to those that participate in signing a card.
One flag per person, while supplies last.
(Anyone wanting to donate blank and/or signed cards can bring them by at any time or call us and we will pick them up.) We are hoping to get 500 or more cards signed!
Postage for these cards will be paid for by the Westland Jaycees.
We want to thank the Westland Shopping Center in supporting us in this endeavor. The Wayne Chapter Renaissance Chorus will be performing patriotic songs in the afternoon. The 1776 MP Company of the Michigan National Guard will have a display and be present during the event.
